The Colony RoadRunners Club was founded in 2001 by a small, but devoted group of running buddies that wanted to promote running in The Colony TX. They provide weekly training runs to encourage those that may already be runners or those who to want to incorporate running into their health and fitness regimes and make new friends along the way. Their major community events include: The Kid's Chase by the Lake each April and The Colony Half Marathon and Green Dragon 5 Miler in October. They are affiliated with Road Runners Club of America (RRCA).
