Responsibilities

The City of The Colony Human Resources Department (HR) strives to provide excellent customer service both internally and externally. Our goal is to attract, hire, and retain qualified employees in a diversified workplace.

Additional duties include:

  • The HR Department administers the employee benefits program, worker's compensation, employee compensation / classification, employee relations, training and policy development.
  • The HR Department monitors compliance with Federal and State laws and City policies regarding Human Resource issues.
  • The HR Department works as a partner with management staff providing advice, support, and recommendations to effectively utilize and manage the City's employee workforce.
