Mission Statement

The mission of The Colony Municipal Court of Record is to serve all citizens in a courteous, efficient and professional manner. The court is dedicated to principles of fair and impartial justice administered with respect and equality. We are responsible for the prompt, accurate processing of Class C misdemeanor charges and collections of fines.

Alternatives to Full Payment and Possible Credit Toward Fine and Costs

If a fine and costs are assessed in your case, alternatives to full payment may be available to you if you are unable to pay.  Alternatives to full payment may include an extension of time to pay, a payment plan, community service, or waiver.  If you have been confined in jail or prison after the commission of an offense filed with this court, you may be entitled to a credit toward any fine or costs owed.   Please contact the court office to find out what options are available to you. 

Court Decorum Policies

Appropriate attire must be worn in court.  Any court participants who are not dressed appropriately may be asked to leave.  The following will not be allowed in the courtroom:  hats of any kind, shorts, flip flops, tank tops, clothing with tears or holes, clothing with obscene, vulgar, or derogatory language or images.  Cell phones, or other electronic devices including cameras or recording devices, may not be used in the courtroom.
