Adoption Procedures
The Texas Health and Safety Code, Chapters 826 and 828, requires that all adopted animals are to be sterilized and rabies vaccinated.
To adopt an animal, you must be at least 18 years of age with a valid ID.
Animal Services cannot guarantee the health, temperament or specific breed of the adopted animal.
Animal Services will allow for the adopted animal to be returned within seventy-two (72) hours subsequent to the adoption free of charge, but will not receive compensation of the adoption fee. Thereupon the seventy-two (72) hour return period, surrendering of the adopted animal will be required.
