[ARCHIVED] Notice regarding city's water

Clover Valley water tower spotlight

For the week of Feb. 22, the city's water situation remains unchanged - there is no boil notice in effect and we are continuing to monitor and adjust the city’s water distribution operations under current conditions to maintain safety and supply.

In doing so, we have tapped into the city's well-water supply, which may have a different smell and taste, and is softer, but is still completely safe to drink.

Our Water Production team recommends the following:

  • Use less soap, shampoo, and dishwashing and laundry detergents. The softer water requires less of these products, and will feel less "slippery."
  • If taste is an issue, try chilling an open contain of water in the refrigerator before drinking. The cooler water may seem more palatable.

Some residents may have received phone calls in recent days indicating customers needed to boil their water. That notification does not apply to City of The Colony water customers.

We appreciate your continued patience. Please continue to conserve water and energy during this time.
