The Colony Police Department will host their annual Teen Academy during the week of June 6-10, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at The Colony Police Department, 5151 North Colony Blvd, The Colony Tx. 75056.

The Colony Police Department will host their annual Teen Academy during the week of June 6-10, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at The Colony Police Department, 5151 North Colony Blvd, The Colony Tx. 75056.

The Teen Academy is open to eighth- 12th-graders, (2021-2022 school year) and all students will receive a free T-Shirt to wear during the program. The program is completely free but there is limited space available and registration deadline is June 3. 

Students will learn about Police Careers, Investigations, Laws, Police Equipment, Serving the Community, and much more. It is an opportunity to give participants a working knowledge of the police department if they are interested in a career in law enforcement. 

Courses include: 

  • Tour of the Police and Fire Stations
  • Learn how to become a Police Officer 
  • Vehicle Operations and Equipment 
  • Bike Patrol Duty’s
  • SWAT Team Duty’s 
  • Team Building Event and Scenarios 
  • Drone Team 
  • City Hall and Animal Services Tours 
  • Forensic and Lab overview.
