Park land ballot initiative

On the ballot this year (in addition to City Council races) is approval or disapproval of the sale of 0.1434 acres of city-owned parkland, which is currently a vacant lot in the Eastvale Subdivision. As land zoned for park use, state law requires any sale be put to a vote of the residents. Should residents approve the sale of the land, state law also requires that proceeds from any sale be put back into park uses.
