Get ready for Mother’s Day with The Colony Parks and Recreation Department’s Mamapalooza! Join us for this FREE fun-filled evening complete with a live band and other fun activities from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, May 12, at Stewart Creek Park.
Families are welcome to come celebrate mom a day early by enjoying carnival-style activities by the lake. This event will offer a great time and bring the whole family together out by the shores of Lewisville Lake.
“We are excited to host an event that celebrates all the great moms out there.” said Alexa Nelson, Special Events Leader for The Colony Parks and Recreation Department.
According to Nelson, there will be a rock-climbing wall, a bounce house, an obstacle course, varying carnival games, a face painter and much more. In addition, there will be food trucks offering items ranging from barbecue to carnival-style food to ice cream sandwiches.
“We are anticipating a good crowd this year. Our staff is working to prepare the best Mamapalooza yet and we are excited for families to come out and have a great time,” Nelson said.
The third annual Mamapalooza will be hosted at Stewart Creek Park, 3700 Sparks Road, The Colony, 75056. For more information, contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 972-625-1106.
