[ARCHIVED] TCPD responds to report of unconscious child

At approximately 3:31 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15, The Colony Police Department officers responded to an unconscious child call at Peters Colony Elementary School playground, located at 5101 Nash Drive.

Officers arrived on scene and located an unconscious and not breathing 8-year-old child under the playground equipment. Officers attempted to revive the child with CPR. The Colony Fire Department arrived on scene and transported the child to Baylor Scott and White Medical Center-Carrollton. The child was pronounced deceased at the medical center. 

The incident is being investigated by The Colony Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division. The death appears to be medically related at this time.
