[ARCHIVED] North Colony lane closures Nov. 9-Dec. 3

Work to install two new storm drain inlets along North Colony Boulevard is scheduled to begin Friday, Nov. 9, resulting in a series of lane closures in both directions.

The inlets will help reduce the volume of water that often accumulates along the roadway during heavy rains. The project is estimated to last until Dec. 3.

Lane closures include the westbound right lane of North Colony from Knight Drive approaching the intersection with FM 423 (Main Street). Motorists will still have access to City Hall and the Library from North Colony.

Eastbound, the right lane of North Colony near the CVS drugstore, including the inside right-turn lane at FM 423, will be closed. The outside right-turn lane will remain open. The right lane of eastbound North Colony located to the west of the intersection with FM 423 also will be closed up to the intersection with Joy Drive.

Please drive cautiously in this area. During construction, every effort will be made to minimize the impact to residents; however, as with any street construction project, there will be some inconvenience and we appreciate your patience during this time.

If you have additional questions or concerns, please contact the Engineering Department at 972-624-3195 or by email.
