[ARCHIVED] "Shred Day" scheduled for May 11

Shred-It Truck

Residents wishing to conveniently dispose of confidential documents may take advantage of a "Shred Day" scheduled for 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 11, in the parking lot of Hawaiian Falls Waterpark, 4400 Paige Road.

This opportunity is being scheduled in light of the Spring Clean-Up on April 13 being closed early due to hail and high winds. Residents who missed the Clean-Up are encouraged to take advantage of curbside bulk pickup, landfill passes, and the Household Hazardous Waste Program (HHW), which includes collection of old electronics, tires, and other items. The HHW facility is located at 5576 North Colony Blvd. and is open three times a month on the first Monday (4 to 7 p.m.), third Wednesday (1 to 4 p.m.), and third Saturday (8 a.m. to noon).

There will also be another Clean-Up event in the Fall. For more information, call Environmental Services at 972-624-3131.
