[ARCHIVED] The Colony Police respond to alleged threat made to TCHS student

On Monday, Nov. 11, 2019, The Colony Police Department received an anonymous tip regarding a group conversation of high school students that took place on Snapchat.

The tip did not identify any person from the group but stated one student made threats towards another indicating a violent act.

Officers responded to The Colony High School & began investigating the threat along with SRO’s, who were already on campus. The investigation at this point has revealed there is no active threat toward The Colony High School. Out of an abundance of caution numerous police officers from TCPD responded to the campus and are continuing to investigate the threat made. 

At NO point was the high school campus placed on lock down, and school will continue its business as usual. The Colony PD will remain highly visible on campus and in the area throughout the day.
