National Night Out is set for October 6, 2020.

On Tuesday, October 6, 2020, neighborhoods throughout The Colony joined forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the “37th Annual National Night Out” crime and drug prevention event.

National Night Out is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) and co-sponsored by The Colony Police Department. TCPD also hosted an Open House / Touch-A-Truck Event from 6 to 9 p.m. at its headquarters.


National Night Out is designed to:

  • Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness

  • Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs

  • Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships

  • Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back

    National Night Out help strengthens neighborhood spirit and reinforces police-community partnerships to make our community a safer place to live and play.
