[ARCHIVED] National Night Out set for Oct. 6

National Night Out 2020

On Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2020, neighborhoods throughout The Colony will join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the “37th Annual National Night Out” crime and drug prevention event.

National Night Out is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) and co-sponsored by The Colony Police Department. 

National Night Out is designed to:

  • Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness

  • Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs

  • Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships

  • Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back
  • National Night Out help strengthens neighborhood spirit and reinforces police-community partnerships to make our community a safer place to live and play.
