Earth-work is underway in the medians along Main Street, particularly in the northern city limits. TxDOT contractors are currently working on Phase II of the roadway's landscaping project, which is funded by the TxDOT Green Ribbon Program.
During Phase I, weeping love grass was seeded in some of the planting beds as temporary ground-cover until Phase 2 began, during which shrubs and ornamental grasses will be planted.
Motorists can expect to see the work progressing down the roadway over the next several months. Please drive safe!
