[ARCHIVED] Bulk, green waste returns to Mondays

Bulk Trash bag-and-tie

During the majority of April, bulk/green waste collection was moved from Mondays to Saturdays in response to increased volumes of regular trash collection during this time when most residents are staying home much more.

Starting Monday, May 4, bulk/green waste collection will return to Mondays moving forward, as follows:

  • May 4 & 18 bulk collection for residents with trash/recycling on Tuesdays and Wednesdays;
  • May 11 & 25 bulk collection for residents with trash/recycling on Thursdays and Fridays;
  • Green waste collected every Monday.

Saturday, May 2, will be the last time collections are made on a Saturday. For more information, contact Environmental Services at 972-624-3131.

Customers are reminded that the Camelot Landfill is still open and operating. Customers with an active residential water account may visit City Hall Customer Service drive-up (north side of City Hall) to obtain a Landfill Pass that will allow one trip into the Camelot Landfill (landfill policies apply). Customer Service drive-up hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday.

Also, residents are asked to bag-and-tie any loose items in bags of 50lbs or less in a measure meant to safeguard Republic Services employees.
