At approximately 11:20 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, The Colony Police officers responded to an alarm call at Hawaiian Falls Water Park, 4400 Paige Road.
At the scene, officers observed a white male walking inside a fenced-in area of the park. The subject then entered one of the administration offices of the main building and barricaded himself. It appeared that the subject fired a handgun at officers through one of the office windows. Officers returned fire.
The Colony’s Special Response Team (SRT) arrived on scene along with negotiators. The subject refused to come out of the building. SRT deployed tear gas and the subject came out of the building and was placed under arrest at about 1:15 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 19.
The subject was transported to The Colony Jail, where he was booked without incident. He is charged with Burglary of a Building. Other charges are pending. The subject was identified as Ricardo Arturo Davalos, 32, of Carrollton. The subject and the officers involved in the incident were not injured.
