[ARCHIVED] Holiday season in The Colony

Christmas lights

The holidays in The Colony begin on Saturday, Dec. 5, with the start of The Colony Christmas Spectacular Light Show and the annual Parade of Lights.

The Christmas Spectacular Light Show runs 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. Sunday-Thursday; 5:30 to 10:50 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, starting Dec. 5, at Central Fire Station (4900 Blair Oaks). Tune your radio to 99.9FM to enjoy the choreographed music. In light of the pandemic, please be advised there will be no bleachers at Perryman Park to view the show. We encourage attendees to view from within their vehicles.

This year's Parade of Lights will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at Stewart Creek Park (3700 Sparks Road). It be a "reverse parade," where entries are stationary along the road and the attendees drive through looking at the floats, marching groups, etc.
