Police investigate aggravated assault/deadly weapon

On Friday, Sept. 6, The Colony Police Department received a 911 call reporting a person was shot in the 5500 block of Rearn Drive.

Police respond to shooting on Dooley

At approximately 12:08 a.m. Sept. 4, The Colony Police Department received a 911 call reporting a shooting in the 6000 block of Dooley Drive. The reporting party stated a male was shot in the leg and needed medical assistance.

Officers arriving on scene located the suspect vehicle, which left the area at a high rate of speed. Officers followed the vehicle south on Main Street where it crashed at the intersection of Main and the Sam Rayburn Tollway. Three occupants ran from the ...

Star of Texas to be awarded to Sgt. David Fitzpatrick

On Wednesday, Sept. 11, Sgt. David Fitzpatrick will honored by receiving the Star of Texas Award. The Star of Texas Award ceremony will be held as at the Texas House of Representatives, located at the Texas State Capitol, 1100 Congress Ave., in Austin.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott will present the Star of Texas Medal to Sgt. Fitzpatrick’s widow and family at the ceremony. Members of The Colony Police Department will also be in attendance, including The Colony Police Chief and Assistant Chiefs.

Police execute search warrant on Norris Drive

In the early morning hours of Friday, Aug. 2, 2019, The Colony Police Department Criminal Investigations Division and the Special Weapons and Tactics Team executed a search warrant in the 5400 block of Norris Drive.

TCPD Officer named School Resource Officer of the Year

In just his first year as the School Resource Officer (SRO) at The Colony High School, TCPD Officer Omar Montemayor has earned the School Resource Officer of the Year award by the Texas Association of School Resource Officers.
