During its regular meeting on May 3, The Colony City Council proclaimed May as National Bike Month in The Colony. The Colony Parks & Recreation Department reminds you that Bike Month isn’t about riding the furthest or the most often.

It’s about riding when you can, encouraging others, and spreading the joys of bike riding far and wide!

Paramedics take part in FDNY training program

In mid-May, TCFD Capt. Westbrook Teer, Capt. James McAllister, and Paramedics Stephen Wilcox, Andrew Mowery, and Anthony Hernandez took part in a special medical operations conference hosted by the Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY).

Participants returned with a plethora of new knowledge, training techniques, and ideas to help further the department’s emergency medical goals.

The Colony again recognized as Gold Star Affiliate

Keep Texas Beautiful (KTB), a statewide grassroots environmental and community improvement non-profit organization, recently named The Colony as a Gold Star Affiliate for 2022, a designation granted to 86 affiliates of KTB’s nearly 300 affiliates.

Gold Star recognition is the membership recognition highest status any community affiliate can achieve.
