New Year to bring new hours for some city services

The Colony City Hall

In keeping with a trend among both public and private sector organizations, a variety of city departments will be transitioning to a new weekly work schedule effective Jan. 7, 2020.

Namely, the Customer Service counters at City Hall (6800 Main St.) will be open a half hour earlier and a half hour later four days a week: 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday

It's holiday season in The Colony!

Christmas Spectacular

The holidays kicked off on Dec. 7 with Holiday in the Park festivities at Perryman Park. The season's celebrations are all month long as The Colony Christmas Spectacular Light Show continues at Central Fire Station.

Veterans utility discount goes into effect

As part of its continued commitment honoring the service and sacrifices of veterans in our community, The Colony City Council has approved an amendment to the city’s Master Fee Schedule that offers military veterans a 10% discount on their utility bills.

Urban Coyotes: Don't feed the wildlife

In order to minimize the chances of close-contact encounters between residents and urban coyotes, the City wishes to remind residents of the importance of discouraging urban wildlife from becoming too comfortable around humans.
