Is there a time limit for making a complaint?

All complaints should be filed in a timely manner with the Professional Standards Division. Complaints filed more than 30 days after an occurrence decreases the likelihood a complaint will be sustained. Complaints related to traffic stops that do not involve a criminal allegation must be filed within 60 days of the occurrence to be investigated. For further information, contact us at 972-624-3944.
