I received a citation for an expired registration. If I get my vehicle registered, pay the penalty fee and bring the proof in to the court, can this charge be dismissed?

Only if your vehicle registration was expired 60 days or less, and you get it registered within 20 working days from the date of violation or before your first court appearance date, whichever is later. You must then bring in your proof of the registration to the court clerk's office. The court can dismiss that violation with a $20 dismissal fee. If your registration was expired more than 60 days, you must either pay the set fine/court costs ($165), or set a court date to appear before the Judge.
