Jamie began taking water exercise at The Colony Aquatic Park in the mid-1980’s, after being told that the water would be beneficial to recover from her total hip replacement surgery. She found that it truly helped a lot and eventually was able to walk without a cane. In 1992, Jamie applied to become a water aerobics instructor with The Colony. After taking numerous instructional classes, lifeguard training and CPR, she certified to teach… and has been teaching ever since. She loves her job and strives to make her classes fun and beneficial for all attending. Over the years, she has met many interesting and wonderful people, some of whom have become lasting friends.
